Finding A Mentor

In iQuest, I was told to find a teacher mentor at my school in order to be able to talk to an adult figure about my aspirations and goals, as well as to learn about their own journey into their career.  I chose my United States history teacher, Mr. Hodges, to be my mentor.  I chose Mr. Hodges because he is one of the best teachers at my high school.  He makes learning about US history enjoyable and he really helped me to succeed in his class.  He even encouraged me to take the AP US History test last year although I was in the college prep course.  I ended up earning a 4 on the AP test and it was all because of how well he taught me. When I asked Mr. Hodges to be my mentor, he said yes without hesitation. I am very glad that I will be able to learn more about Mr. Hodges as well as to share my goals with a teacher who cares.
